Hometown?

As a youth I wanted to live here the rest of my life. My extended family was spread across the lower 48 & Bruxelles & I hated being so far away from them all. I didn't want to make my kids have to travel hundreds of miles to see their grandparents (that's when I thought I would be married at around 25). I was born in '73 (Roe vs. Wade & Tolkien's death) in Glendale & lived in Litchfield Park for a couple years before moving to Phoenix proper, so I've been in the valley for my entire life. Phoenix has grown crowded & filled w/ people from California, the Midwest, etc. I'm a rarity as a native now & it no longer feels like my hometown.
